Also the tour includes a visit to  Canada’s only Toy & Autograph Museum, the Yorkton Western Development Museum, 1 night stay in Yorkton, SK (in a hotel with a pool and waterslide!) meals and more before returning to Winnipeg travelling on VIA Rail between Canora, SK s Canadian and back to Winnipeg by train to end a memorable tour.

DAY 1 –SATURDAY JULY 1, 2017
Morning meet and greet at Winnipeg's Union Station and tour of the Winnipeg Railway Museum and enjoy lunch here  before boarding and appropriately travelling on VIA Rail's CANADIAN on Canada Day and enjoy the scenery through the windows from our seats in the coach or from the observation area in the dome car.  A short time after departing Winnipeg at mid –day possibly welcome aboard further guests boarding at Portage la Prairie.  From here the route of this train travels west through the prairies and Qu'Appelle Valley. The group will enjoy dinner on the train before we arrive in Melville to enjoy a planned welcome presentation and overnight here.

DAY 2 – SUNDAY JULY 2, 2017
The following morning enjoy a breakfast at the hotel before a full day by boarding our chartered bus to take us to the Yorkton Western Development Museum (and its considerable collection of steam tractors) followed by a visit to the National Doukhobor Heritage Village in Veregrin, SK for a guided tour of the heritage buildings located here and lunch.  Next we will travel to Canora SK to visit the historic and ornate Ukrainian Orthodox Church for a welcome to our group.  The afternoon will include visits to ride a privately owned narrow guage train as well as the town’s Ukrainian Museum and Canada's only Toy & Autograph Museum followed by some free time to explore the town and have dinner at a popular Chinese restaurant in Canora.  After dinner we will transfer to our hotel in Yorkton and overnight here.

DAY 3– MONDAY JULY 3, 2017
This morning breakfast will be enjoyed at our hotel before we transfer by bus north the short distance back to Canora to board the train from Churchill that will take us back to Winnipeg.  The route back will feature views of some scenic areas that are the rolling hills and headwaters for the Assiniboine River and views of Riding Mountain National Park.  There will be a  planned visit to the Dauphin Railway Museum and the opportunity to enjoy lunch on the train before the scheduled late afternoon return to Winnipeg's Union Station.
